RESOLUTE Games and Apps announces their first contest based on their flagship game ThumStruck. ThumStruck is a rhythm-based game that features an eclectic mix of indie and established musicians, performing original works. The goal is to match falling orbs to their corresponding element bar in sequence.
“The contest features all eight recording artists who contributed the ten songs of ThumStruck,” says CEO Chris Przybyszewski. “We want to celebrate the artists, but also introduce new and old gamers to the chance to compete against each other.”
The prize, none other than cold hard cash- in the iTunes store of course. Players can compete for one of ten $10 iTunes gift cards each week over the course of ten weeks. Those gamers who have the free version of the game can play the two songs included with the application, while those who have purchased the full version can play all ten weeks of the contest. Both products are currently available on the App Store, search term “ThumStruck.”
The first featured song is by Ardent recording artist Skillet, and the instrumental version of their hit song “Vapor.” The contest begins Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 12:01 a.m. CST.
A leaderboard attached to the RESOLUTE Games Facebook page tracks progress as players compete. As well, players can install the leaderboard onto their own Facebook page, for all their friends to see.
RESOLUTE Games & Apps is a software development company that focuses mainly on iPhone applications. The free version of ThumStruck debuted in October of 2008, and has since been downloaded over 100,000 times across the globe. The full version of ThumStruck was published in December of 2008.
